About Us
Deneese
Owner, Founder, and Training Director
Deneese has had great success with dogs that she trained over the years. Dogs with her training were involved in Search and Rescue, theater productions to include The Seattle Repertory Theater, and the La Ponse Discovery Theater in downtown Seattle. She trained basic obedience to earn titles for CD, (Companion Dog) and CDX (Companion Dog Excellent) with The American Kennel Club. Some current titles are; Therapy, trick dog, CGC, flyball, barn hunt to name a few. Her canine involvement even placed Deneese in the sports ring to judge obedience competition. She loves to train others to make such accomplishments.
In 1976 Deneese began officially working with dogs by apprenticing for 3 years in Seabeck, Wa. at Fairinall Kennels. Her mentor, Charlie, was such an inspiration and was fair in all he did. Charlie never had an idea as to the life long skills in which he taught. … or maybe he did. Deneese will always admire and have a deep love for what was afforded to her. Charlie also taught skills to Deneese for personal protection and bird dog training.
Until July 2021 The Canine Resource Center dealt exclusively in dog obedience, but after Deneese had a 38 year professional career with King County, the company sought to make a change and live the lifelong dream. Our current location was acquired in Lake Stevens Washington. We have almost 9 acres of nothing but canine fun.
